Cal Poly Pomona transfer applicant "eligible for consideration"?

I applied for fall 2010. I'm a transfer student and I just checked my application status "eligible for consideration." I did some research on it and some people are saying it's a waiting list. I'm really nervous because I really want to go to this school. Are my chances done for? Is there anyone who had this and got accepted? If i get rejected would they accept an appeal?
