Can anyone help me with this question. my colesteral level in October was on the high end of normal in October?

this year as heart attacks run un my family as my uncle and granddad died young of a blood clot to their hearts when I was very little. Infact I never met my granddad because he died before I was born and my uncle died when I was young. so what I want to know is how high is my risk? I was told to get another blood test done in Feb next year. since my last blood test I have been eating lots of pasta with lots of cheese on it as it is addictive. I am almost overweight and hate it. I am 39 and will be 40 soon. today I have been getting dull pain that lasts a few seconds in my left hand arm on my fingers and on the left leg. it will come on without warning. what i want to ask is could this be a warning sign to me? I do not smoke, and my blood pressure is normal and I do not exercise like I used to. I want infact need to get back to it. Please give me some advice.
