Jewish Question ?
Didnt understand what you meant by sniot so i am guilty of looking at the other answer to see what you were talking about so i am guessing you mean Tzinut. Tzinut is rules set for each gender about what is proper for behavior and clothing. Tzinut outlines clothing and what should be covered and behaviour rules are including but not limited to touching and being in the same room of the other that isnt a family memeber. Now Shomer Negiah is outlined in Jewish law of physical contact with the opposite that isnt of the immediate family. So a long hug with a long lost cousin will not be allowed. Negiah is the law and Shomer Negiah is the observer of Negiah. Like Shomer Kashrut and Shomer Shabbat(observer of Kosher law) (Observer of the sabbath). The Talmud is a book of religious protaining discussions of Rabbis. It is the second most importance next to the Torah. Like i said in many other questions. It is against ORTHODOX JUDAISM, but not against Judaism. Orthodox Jews follow Torah law stricly but Conservative Judaism will allow these clothese at maybe the beach or a family celebration that will be held at a pool, but i wouldnt say in normal wear and in Reform Judaism, its more of a choice of how they want to observe Judaism so they can wear these things. If you have more questions then please contact.
