Where do I go from here?

I'm heading into my last semester in college in Stony Brook U in NY and hopefully after my interview soon I will have an internship with a pre/post production company for a Cinema company. Ideally I'd like to find a job in Cali and get an apartment with a friend and move there to work; anyone else been in the same boat and how'd u succeed?
